First Week Email!

Hi Team!!

This is your very first weekly email for the '25/'26 season, and we couldn’t be more excited — it’s official, the season has begun!!!

Tap Shoes

  • Level 5 & 6 dancers in a tap routine must have JSams, purchased at Degage.

  • Level 1-4 dancers in a tap routine need the “off-brand” JSams, which will be available at the studio in the next few weeks.

  • Dancers not in a tap routine can wear the regular tap shoes we carry at the studio for tap technique classes.

Company Site

  • The company site has been updated.

  • Take a few minutes to check it out and get familiar with all the information you’ll need for the season. password DE_dancer_26

Emails

  • If your dancer is enrolled in both recreational and competitive classes, you may receive duplicate emails.

  • This happens because of the way our system has to be set up — thanks for your patience!

DE Gear: Jackets & Bags

  • A list of DE gear will be sent soon, including for jackets and bags.

  • New competition members are required to purchase a company jacket using the JotForm.

  • All other gear is optional.

  • Yes, dancers can order their own bags!

Blood Drive

Community Service

  • Points will now roll over and accumulate for two years.

  • Points from last season will be recognized at our every-other-year banquet this summer.

  • Students will no longer earn points just by donating items.

  • Active participation is now required — like leading a drive, collecting, sorting, or distributing donations.

To lead a community service project, you’ll need to:

  • Create an 11x14 poster and email or drop it off one week before the 1st of the month.

  • Set out containers to collect donations.

  • Check the donation box each week.

  • Pick up the box on the last day of the month, even if it’s not a regular dance day.

September Project: Happy Kits

  • Collecting supplies for Pre-K & Teen Happy Kits.

  • Volunteer opportunity to assemble the bags: September 28th at the studio.

  • A JotForm sign-up will be sent out soon.

  • Questions or ideas? Contact Stephanie Brading at 913-709-1850.

  • If you’d rather donate money, we’re checking whether it should go to DE or directly to Stephanie via Venmo — we’ll update you soon!

Solo Schedule

  • The solo schedule is attached.

  • Solo rehearsals are every other week for 15 minutes.

  • Even if choreography isn’t complete, dancers should still attend to work on technique and preparation.

Trashbag Orders

  • Final orders are due Monday.

  • Submit your order here: Submit Your Order.

  • Bring payment to the studio by 9:00 PM on Monday, 8/9.

To uncover your true potential you must first find your own limits and then you have to have the courage to blow past them.”— Picabo Street
