11/8 Friday Email
HEY THERE!!!!
I have heard that tonight's scholarships are going great! Way to go!
SUNDAY CONVENTION:
Refer to 10/25 Email
Have fun!
RECITAL - HEADS UP:
The team show - each dancer can purchase up to 5 tickets. If you already know you do not need that many, email the studio and we will see if we can increase it to 6 for those that need them.
Although some routines will perform in all 6 shows - competition families will need to wait to purchase tickets in the first 5 shows (Friday and Saturday Shows) until sales open to the public.
DE YARD SIGNS:
Sunday is the last day to order
$25
Profit goes to help with the "End Of Season" Banquet
INDUSTRY NIGHT:
Required to attend
An opportunity to get out of your comfort zone
Even if you are not excited about the genre....it will help you grow!
You are only allowed to miss 1 Industry Night for the season.
COMP MUSIC:
Due to the evolution of a routine and the tiring journey of getting to the "Perfect" story, choreography, costume...etc, Miss Erin gives the instructors until January 1st to submit the final edited music.
If the instructors finalize the music prior to the January 1st due date, Mr. James will place it on the competition page.
Some songs will be available November 15th, on the team page of the website.
PARENT WATCH WEEK:
Next week, November 11th - 15th
We HIGHLY suggest attending not only technique classes with your dancer but also routine rehearsals.
The monitor can be very deceiving; attending classes helps you see and hear what is happening and what the class is focusing on.
What looks like standing around could be the instructor trying to explain and break down something that is very important for the dancers to understand.
What looks like going through the exact same 32 counts during a rehearsal could be that the group can not move forward until those 32 counts are done correctly.
We do ask that parents not talk and are not disruptive during the classes.
“Happiness, true happiness, is an inner quality. It is a state of mind. If your mind is at peace, you are happy. If your mind is at peace, but you have nothing else, you can be happy. If you have everything the world can give – pleasure, possessions, power – but lack peace of mind, you can never be happy.”— Dada Vaswani
Blessings and stay positive!
